MiniCat is getting increasingly popular with adventurers of all sorts. This year in August two MiniCat owners and their young sons decided to go on an expedition and as their target they chose the largest Finish lake ‘INARI’ which is situated in Lapland above the Arctic Circle.

The water in this lake is clearer than the ocean in Caribbean and there are 13 thousands islands on it.

They started in the port Nellim in southeast part of the lake close to the Russian border and went across the lake, stopping on different islands, fishing, playing around with MiniCat and simply just enjoying the time together. What a great way to spend the father/son time!!!

Throughout their trip they had an exceptionally good weather conditions with 20̊C, very little rain but also not too much wind. They used the Tohatsu 3.5 HP engine when necessary and they think the outboard with this engine works well even when the boat is fully loaded.

They stayed for 15 days and sometimes they did not see anyone for days on end except an occasional fisherman.

And the verdict for MiniCat??

“Fantastic sailing boat, fun, reliable, handy and fitted comfortably inside the 400lt top-box on the car”.

Enjoy the photos.
